LOMBARDY REGION: MEETING ROOM AT PIRELLI PALACE
Since the 2002 our company began to realize the multimedia rooms for the many offices of
the Lombardy Region (both in the branch offices in Milan and in the S.T.A.P. offices of
Lodi, Brescia, Pavia,...). In the 2004, during the Palazzo Pirelli works, the Region began to
need the meeting rooms of the Pirellone equipped with multimedia devices: for this reason
from September 2004 we began to install multimedia plants AV-IT in President Room, in
Representation Room, in Gonfalon Room, in Pirelli Room and in all meeting points of the
many floors of the Palazzo Pirelli.
All the services and the proposed solutions, have been designed starting from the following
presuppositions:
possibility of supplying the users with advanced multimedia services, aligned with the
most innovative technological standard and easy to use;
- configuration and use flexibility of the equipments;
- use of data network infrastructure for the interconnection of the rooms and equipments.
Based on what underlined above and thanks to the technological possibilities offered by
the market, you can indicate a series of services accessible by the users:
- Videoconference: each room is equipped with a Videoconference system
connected to data network to allow the interconnection with all other rooms of the
Lombardy Region both internal and external to the Palace.
- Multimedia systems for the meeting rooms: all rooms have been equipped
with multimedia systems based on technology updated to the last qualitative standard.
In particular for every room you can activate the following functions:
- Possibility of videoprojection or visualization on plasma monitor of presentations or
multimedia contents;
- Possibility of visualization possibility of VHS or DVD contents;
- Possibility of audio/video recording on VHS or DVD in local;
- Possibility of conference streaming;
- High quality audio amplification and recording system, dimensioned for each room;
- Visualization of satellite and television signals, terrestrial, both digital and analogical.
All the installed systems are remotely managed through the rooms control system TMS
(developed by us), that through connection to already existent data network allows the
control centralization and optimizes the procedures and the maintenance and assistance
costs.
This function has to be granted in particular for the videoprojection equipments, for the
videoconference system and for the audio amplification systems.
- Messages system: to allow a proper management of the information for
the public and rooms users, there is a centralized messages system that manages a series
of monitors situated outside the meeting rooms, where graphic images are sent with the
indication of the use program of the room itself.
In the same way, in the common areas (public ingress) 42" plasma monitors
can visualize the images pertinent to day program of all rooms and contemporary or
otherwise, video information (institutional films or events shooting into the rooms).
